Hers review: excellent care, at roughly twice the price of our top choice

We scored Hers 8.9 out of 10. It is a very good program with brand-name medication, and it would rate higher if it cost less. Here is where it shines and where it falls short.

Hers in short

What we like

Brand-name Wegovy® pills and pens, a slick app, and a care team you can reach at any hour.

What to watch

You cannot get medication without the membership ($39 for the first month, then $149 every month), and the medication price climbs as your dose does.

How we scored Hers

We rate every program on the same four weighted factors, each out of 10. Hers's overall rating is 8.9.

FactorScoreWhy
Price & Value 35%8.0The medication starts at $149 a month, but the required membership doubles that from month two.
Clinical Care 25%9.4Licensed providers, regular check-ins and nutrition guidance are all part of the program.
Speed to Treatment 20%9.3A treatment plan usually arrives within a day, with free shipping in a few business days.
Patient Experience 20%9.5A polished sign-up and one of the better apps we have seen.

Hers weight loss options and what each costs

Hers sells several medications, and none of them is one flat price. The advertised figure is the lowest dose without the membership. This table shows the range as your dose goes up, with the membership every customer pays added in.

Zepbound®tirzepatide, one injection a week$299 to $449/mo$448 to $598/mo$6,866

Hers publishes a starting price for each medication, not a price for every strength. The higher-dose prices used here are the manufacturers' cash prices (Novo Nordisk and Lilly), which Hers's starting prices match. Year one assumes a month or two at the lower prices and then the full-dose price, plus the membership ($39 for the first month, $149 for each month after). Introductory pen prices are limited-time offers. Ozempic® is a diabetes medication prescribed off-label for weight loss. Prices read October 12, 2026; your checkout price is the one that counts.

Where Hers is strong

Brand-name choice

If you want an FDA-approved product such as the Wegovy® pill, Hers has the widest range in one place.

App polish

Its app, community features and nutrition content are among the best available.

Where it falls behind our top choice

Our top choice, TotalRx, comes out ahead on two counts. No membership fee and semaglutide from $129 a month, against about $298 at Hers from month two. The rate you start on is held for life. At Hers the membership rises after the first month.

These reviews are for Hers as a whole, so they include its hair and skin products as well as weight loss.

The good

  • Members describe steady weight loss and feeling less hungry
  • Getting started is described as fast and painless
  • Clinicians are often called friendly and quick to answer
  • Orders can be followed in the app

The frustrations

  • Several members did not realise a monthly membership came on top of the medication
  • Some were charged more than once, or could not match a charge to an order
  • Refills sometimes ran late or were out of stock
  • Getting past the automated chat to a person was a common frustration

Opinion is split rather than lukewarm: more than a third of reviewers gave top marks and about a quarter gave the lowest. The unhappy reviews are mostly about money and service, not about the medication.
